You're Invited

Feel free to visit us during any of our worship or Bible study times. There is no obligation on your part. If you have any questions about what you see or hear we'll even try to show you in the Bible why we do what we do and why we teach what we teach.

Here's what you can expect when you visit:

Worship Service

  • Singing - We see the first-century Christians singing and we are told to teach each other in songs, so that's what we do. (Colossians 3:16; Ephesians 5:19) Visitors may sing with us or simply listen to the words being sung. No musical instruments will be used and the words will be easier to hear.
  • Praying - We pray to God to ask help for ourselves, for others, to thank Him for His blessings, and to praise Him. Visitors will not typically be asked to lead a prayer unless we know they are visiting members from another congregation of the Lord's church.
  • Teaching - During part of the worship service we will open the Bible and hear a lesson based on His word and think about what His word means for our lives. The first-century Christians heard preaching, too. (Acts 20:7) Visitors will simply be asked to sit and listen to the message. We will offer a chance to respond to the invitation at the end of the lesson. At that time if you wish to obey the Gospel or have a prayer request you may simply come forward and talk with one of our elders during the song sung after the sermon. This is not for public ridicule but so that we may try and assist you in whatever way we can.
  • Communion - We partake of the Lord's Supper as the first-century Christians came together to do. (Acts 20:7) This simply consists of partaking of unleavened bread and fruit of the vine (grape juice) as Jesus told his disciples to do in order to remember Him. (Luke 22:19-20) Partaking of the Lord's Supper is done by members of the Lord's church. Visitors may choose to simply pass the plates on to others if they wish.
  • Giving - Paul told congregations of the Lord's church in the first-centurty to set aside some of what they had been blessed with on the first day of the week. (1 Corinthians 16:1-2) This is a privilege for members of the church and visitors may simply pass the plate on to others if they wish.
