Here’s what to expect when you join us for worship.

Are you new to worshipping with us? We can’t think of a better way to start the week than by being together.

Sundays with us are designed to glorify God and help advance our mission of making, maturing, and multiplying disciples.

We want everyone to walk away encouraged, uplifted, and equipped to apply the Bible to your life in the week to come.

What will happen when i show up for the first time?

As a first-time guest, you do not need to worry about being singled out or asked to introduce yourself in front of the entire church. You wont be treated differently from everyone else, and we wont call attention to you! You can plan a visit with us here.

What should I expect on a typical sunday?

We want everyone to have a warm, welcoming, and encouraging experience with us. Each Sunday you’ll find us praying, singing, sharing Communion, giving, and sharing a message from the Bible. You’ll find that our worship itself is simple and portable: it could be done anywhere! Both the English and Spanish services last about an hour, with a Bible class in-between. Adult English and adult Spanish classes are offered.

I have children. Where should my kids go?

We encourage families to worship together in the auditorium, and offer Bible classes for all ages in between English and Spanish services. Our bilingual Bible class is for children ages 3-9, where children can have an immersive language experience with instruction and material being translated in real time. We highly recommend plugging into a Bible class to better connect with the people here!

I noticed you’re called a “church of christ.” what does that mean, exactly?

Our name simply tells whose we are: we are a church that is of Christ. Through his death, burial, and resurrection, he established his church to fulfill his purposes and for God’s glory.

In Roman’s 16:16, the Apostle Paul writes, “Greet one another with a holy kiss. The churches of Christ send you greetings.”

All churches of Christ are part of a restoration movement that was born out of a quest for unity, where people came together to use the Bible as the only source of teaching and practice. The belief that unity among Christians can best be found by laying aside our preferences for what is taught and seen in the Bible is key.

Although all churches of Christ strive for this, each congregation is autonomous. There is no denomination, national council, or creed by which we’re governed. Instead, our organization is taken from the epistles of 1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1. Our Ministry Team is treated as a training ground for future elders of the local church.

What is Communion, or the Lord’s Supper?

In the Bible we see the early church partaking of the Lord’s Supper on a weekly basis. Also known as Communion or the Eucharist (which comes from the Latin eucharistia, meaning “thanksgiving”), it’s a celebration of the life and sacrifice that Jesus made on the cross, and his subsequent resurrection on the third day after his crucifixion. It’s a chance for those in covenant relationship with Jesus to take the bread and cup in anticipation of his return each Sunday.

I’m new; should i give to the offering?

Every Sunday, we have the opportunity to give back to God as part of our worship. The offering goes directly to the furthering of God’s work and purposes in our community: sharing the Gospel – the good news of Jesus, making His name known, benevolence, our preacher, and other ministries. We think it’s incredible that together we can give back to God and see Him work through our collective offering. Guests are invited to be part of this, but there is no pressure to participate.
